”In which the newly acquainted Kid Flash and Robin have a sleepover, Wally flips his lid, and Dick questions why he even agreed to spend the night at the West’s house. Batman would probably consider keeping a secret identity in these circumstances training.”

I enjoy Dick and Wally’s friendship, in general, and I especially enjoy it here. The fic is light-hearted and pretty adorable, and the edge of Dick’s loneliness and need for a friend gives it a lovely emotional undercurrent.

 I LOVE SPEEDSTERS SFM, YOU GUYS. This is a delicate and thoughtful take on Wally’s dietary requirements, usually treated as a joke, and how very serious they actually are and how that affects him mentally and emotionally. SPEEDSTERRRRSSSS AND THEIR PROBLEMSSSS.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. This is a delightful exploration of Conner and M’gann and how they’ve felt throughout the entirety of currently aired canon, about their mentors, about their teammates, about their respective statuses as strangers in strange lands, and, of course, about each other. The second-person POV really works for me here and the handling of Conner/M’gann is sweet and subtle and adorable.

Okay, so, I spend most of my time in YJ fandom (thusfar) writing fic for ridic pairings that I made up such as Artemis/Kaldur, Tula/Kaldur/Garth, and Dick/YJ!Babs Who Doesn’t Actually Exist, but Supey/M’gann is actually my OTP for the show.

They are just SO FUCKING ADORABLE. I can’t even. I love that they’re awkward around each other, that they’re feeling their way through slowly but surely. I love that M’gann is open about her eyehearts and sweet, awkward, shy Conner expresses himself through acts of kindness towards her, through his concern for her physical and emotional well-being. I love their closeness, obviously suborned by their LIVING TOGETHER and how attuned M’gann is to him and his needs, reflecting the way he is, as already mentioned, very aware of and protective of her. 

I love that they have mis-steps, but they fix them!

I love that they just LIKE each other. OKAY THAT IS MY NUMBER ONE SHIP KINK OF ALL TIME. RADICAL I KNOW.

BUT I LOVE PEOPLE WHO LIKE EACH OTHER.

And I hate pretty much every single thing that fandom chooses to be regarding them. BUT LET’S NOT TALK ABOUT THAT.

Conner/M’gann is aces and I wish them all the awkward adolescent feelings and inevitable kissy-faces in the world. I WILL BE THERE. SQUEALING WITH DELIGHT.

roxanneritchi: heroics: — Francis Manapul I know this is for the comic, but I like to imagine this is YJ:TAS Kon in like a year, after Martha and Jonathan Kent take Kon in and just overwhelm him with love and pecan pie and impromptu games of catch out in the fields (and M’gann’s happy for him, really she is, but sometimes she gets so lonely at Mount Justice with no one but Red Tornado for company, and even Red Tornado has his own family to go to, so what happens is M’gann winds up sleeping over at the Kents’ house all the time and Martha is so delighted and Jonathan thinks she’s a sweetheart but at the same time he’s like NOW KON JUST BECAUSE YOUR LADY FRIEND IS SLEEPING OVER DOESN’T MEAN ANY HANKY PANK WILL BE GOING DOWN UNDER THIS ROOF and Kon just stares blankly at him and Jonathan just coughs and awkwardly changes the subject to them Yankees, AND THEN KARA ZOR-EL COMES TO EARTH!!!!! and this is now officially out of control, yup). I am reblogging this just to tell you that I am now waiting on this fic.

roxanneritchi: As you can see, the evolution of the wild Kon-El’s smile — a particular smile reserved solely for a prospective mate — and the significance of such is immediately apparent.  Consider the first exhibit: after the M’gann (a cheerful and genial creature whose exuberant yet patient nature has proved uniquely successful at drawing the Kon-El out of its shell) has made a preliminary overture of friendship, the Kon-El responds with a shy smile signaling acceptance of this overture and possible future interest. A mere few days later, the Kon-El responds, without prompting, to an expression of doubt from the M’gann with a profound show of affection and support. (Refer to the second still attached.) Shortly after this display, the Kon-El accepts, without protest, the assistance of the M’gann in standing. Again, he smiles at her with easy, open affection. (Refer to the third still attached.) Of note is that the Kon-El is normally reticent; it is only in the company of the M’gann that he opens emotionally, and it is only to the M’gann that he shows such smiles. Accordingly, it seems safe to presume the Kon-El, though ignorant of mating customs, is not only open to the M’gann’s romantic overtures but himself interested in the M’gann. However, further data — smiles, lingering glances, the touching of hands, arms, lips, and other noteworthy physical contact — is required and will be examined as needed to refine this preliminary study’s suggested conclusion.
