RE: M’GANN M’ORZZ LOVE OF MY LIFE

I feel like there’s been at least one fic about this maybe back long ago when I actually looked at the YJ kink meme??? BUT AT ANY REATE I am recently super into trans!M’gann.

Like I feel that much of the pathos of her storyline is pretty much already coded that way (“This IS who I am! Inside.”) and the thought just makes me happy!

Which is obviously not to erase how much of the White Martian/Green Martian thing (as opposed to M’gann’s specific struggles with her identity) is a racism/passing narrative, because I think there is room for it all.

I have been reading some YJ fics. Here are some that I liked!

I enjoy Dick and Wally’s friendship, in general, and I especially enjoy it here. The fic is light-hearted and pretty adorable, and the edge of Dick’s loneliness and need for a friend gives it a lovely emotional undercurrent.

 I LOVE SPEEDSTERS SFM, YOU GUYS. This is a delicate and thoughtful take on Wally’s dietary requirements, usually treated as a joke, and how very serious they actually are and how that affects him mentally and emotionally. SPEEDSTERRRRSSSS AND THEIR PROBLEMSSSS.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. This is a delightful exploration of Conner and M’gann and how they’ve felt throughout the entirety of currently aired canon, about their mentors, about their teammates, about their respective statuses as strangers in strange lands, and, of course, about each other. The second-person POV really works for me here and the handling of Conner/M’gann is sweet and subtle and adorable.
