Q:i am really intrigued by your portal posts but i know nothing about portal, are there actually robot girlfriends in it? wikipedia etc don't mention them. can you tell me about it?
Portal is the tale of Chell who is a test subject at a rather ominous corporation called Aperture Science. She wakes up, utterly alone, in the eerily sterile and lifeless testing facility and is guided through testing chambers (each of which contains a puzzle or series of puzzles of increasing difficulty and danger) by a passive-aggressive and increasingly sinister AI, GLaDOS, that oversees the facility.
Chell must traverse the test chambers with only the use of the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device, or a portal gun, which can create two linked portals through which matter can pass and is promised, by GLaDOS, cake and grief counseling once she succeeds in completing all the chambers.
THINGS DON’T QUITE GO THAT WAY.
The majority of the two games consistent of nothing but Chell (the player) and GLaDOS being antagonists, then not actually antagonists, then having emotions, then denying them.
And… I ship them. Because it is the only thing right and true and possible to do in the face of the Portal series.
