my askbox rn i swear
I never knew so many people would be willing to #1 admit that they believe they have the right to weigh in on what I get angry about/how angry I get about things, and #2 get pissed at my challenging that.
Though my fave was the anon who called me a “silly bitch” and said that people weren’t telling me what to be angry about just disagreeing.
Let me break this shit down since it’s apparently confusing to asshole anons.
When someone is angry about something and you go OH IT’S JUST A JOKE GOSH
You are fundamentally either:
a) Policing their emotions (i.e. You shouldn’t be angry because it is a joke.)
b) Trying to shame them for their emotions (i.e. It’s silly to be angry about a joke.)
There is nothing for you to disagree with in me going I AM ANGRY.
Me expressing anger is not a debatable issue. You don’t have to share my anger, but if I don’t know you why the fuck would you think I care about the simple fact that you are not also angry? Especially if you choose to communicate your lack of anger in the aforementioned condescending manner?
Disagreeing with the conclusions that MADE me angry (i.e. you think Joss Whedon is not a hack) is an entirely separate issue and not something that anyone in this conversation actually… did. Though for the record, I don’t care about your opinions on that either so stop sending me messages about that too.
