The House of Representatives Votes in Favor of Human Rights Violations

The Senate isn’t the only morally corrupt legislative faction of the US government. The House of Representatives voted against a bill that would prevent child marriages worldwide. The Senate voted for it with 100% bipartisan support.

The US has turned into a fucking political circus where the only performers are rich, white dudes who don’t give a shit about anything other than money and scratching the back of multi-billion dollar corporations and bank CEOs who are getting nearly 50 million dollars in bonuses this year while the rest of us can’t do anything but sit in the stands and watch as they abuse the very foundations this country was built on.

This is disgusting. 

The reason House conservatives gave to oppose this bill was the cost of the implementation of it. The truth is, this bill was going to actually make assistance programs that already exist more cost efficient. Because apparently, preventing the rape of children is too fucking expensive we need to give rich people tax cuts instead. Maybe the budget for Defense could spare a couple billion fucking dollars. Oh, wait, they misplaced that money in Iraq and can’t account for it. Right.

Fucking priorities, man, how do they work?
